My thanksgiving weekend was a good one. Saturday, we spent the day running errands and cleaning up a bit at home. I got the rest of my closet and dresser cleared out so all my clothes that no longer fit me are in storage in the attic and my maternity clothes have lots of room now. I am planning another trip for maternity clothes shopping this weekend since I will be in need of a couple more items for fall. We also cleaned out the nursery a bit in preparation of our renovation next week. We want to have the room all cleared out by the end of next weekend.
Sunday, we went to my aunt and uncles cottage for thanksgiving dinner, which was really nice. Amazingly enough, both my brothers were able to be there. They both work shift work and both of them having the same evening off is rare. Yesterday, we went to my inlaws for dinner. Of course, my mother in law cooked WAY too much food, so I was completed stuffed. Then, when we were getting ready to leave, she said “You can’t leave yet, I have crab legs in the oven!”. I was just too full to even think about eating anything else, so she sent some home with me.
Now it’s back to work. I am finding it more difficult to sit through a day at work because I’m finding that I only last a few hours before my lower back gets sore. I have tried taking breaks and walking around the office and doing some stretches, which seems to help minimally, but then the pain comes back. The pain is not severe at this point, so as long as it doesn’t get any worse, I can probably deal with this. Luckily, I am going to the chiropractor tomorrow morning.
I’m also glad that it’s a short work week this week! And next week will be a 2-day work week for me since I have the 22nd to 24th off (going to The Who concert on the 22nd and then our nursery renovation will take place on the 23rd to 25th).
I am now 24 weeks along; only 16 weeks to go! Or, if you count in months, I am 5.5 months along, with 3.5 months left to go. I am only a couple weeks away from the 3rd trimester – we’re getting there! We have our follow-up ultrasound on Thursday morning, so we are really looking forward to that. I’m sure the ‘issues’ that came up in our 20-week ultrasound have cleared up by now… at least I hope so!

Between the chiro and massages, hopefully you're back will be okay. When I hurt my sciatic nerve (thanks to letting myself "drop" into my car), I had to create a "standing workstation" for myself in the office. There were a couple days where I couldn't sit at all. But man, were my feet sore at the end of those days! LOL... you just can't win sometimes!
