Geepers!

I had an appointment with my midwife scheduled for Friday afternoon. Then they called me on Monday to let me know it would need to be rescheduled. So, I called yesterday and rescheduled for today at lunch. Before all appointments, you’re supposed to call your midwife’s pager to check to make sure they weren’t called away to a birth. Well, I just called her pager and sure enough, all her appointments today are cancelled. So, I just called the clinic, and I will be going tomorrow morning instead. My appointment will now be with my 3rd midwife, whom I have not yet met. They want you to meet a total of 3 midwives over the course of your pregnancy so that you get to know them and they get to know you and then it’s guaranteed that 2 of those 3 will be at the birth. Here’s hoping my appointment tomorrow sticks! I do like the fact that you can check a couple hours ahead of time whether your appointment is still on instead of going all the way there and then finding out it has been cancelled. So, it is a pretty good system they have. This is the first time I’ve had to reschedule my appointment so far, so I guess that’s not too bad!

We have given a lot of thought lately to which crib we would like to get. We narrowed it down to 2 at babies r us, and I went on the sears website, and they have one of those 2 for even cheaper than at babies r us! My parents are getting us the crib as an early Christmas present, so now it’s just a matter of picking it out. So, I think I’m going to have to have a look at sears to see if they have a display model of the one we’re thinking of. Hopefully we can get our crib (and matching dresser) chosen and ordered in the next month or so since I have no idea how long it would take for them to come in.

Carlos went to go pick up our rocker recliner this morning, so that’s exciting! Things are starting to come together. If we can have the nursery all done and furnished by Christmas, I’d be happy!
