Perplexed

My ex tried to add me as a friend on Facebook… again! He did this about a year ago and I decided to ‘reject’ him. Well, today he adds me again and there is a message saying basically “congrats on the wedding! I hear other congrats are also in order. Is this just a rumour or is there a little one on the way?” I haven’t accepted his friend request, I think I’ll likely reject him like last time.

I wonder where he heard I’m expecting?!?!?! I have NO IDEA! The only people I’ve told is you guys and my immediate family. My ex’s parents are on Facebook, but I am purposely not mentioning anything about me being pregnant on there because I have one of my co-workers and several of my former coworkers on my friends list and I don’t want my boss to hear through the grapevine. I want him to hear it from me at either the 12-week mark or earlier if I get really sick.

So, I don’t know what to think about my ex’s comment. And he did say it was a rumour, so it’s obviously not from a direct route like my family because then he’d know for sure. Very strange!

That is weird! I wonder where he heard that? Or could he be referring to your P. Eng?

Some people just don't want to take a hint.

Never mind, just saw the "little one" reference... think, then type silly Nej!

Still, very strange that he's heard a rumour.

I found it very strange! He could just be guessing or something, who knows. Just the timing of it is funny since I only found out a week and a half ago. I don't think he was talking about my P.Eng. when he said "little one on the way". ;)

Something else strange happened to me today. I called my massage therapist to let me know my news and I wanted her to know since I wasn't sure if massages are safe while pregnant. So, I called her and said "I have some news" She said "you're pregnant". She said last time I was in, which was 2 days before I took the first pregnancy test, she said the vibrations and energy with me was different and she suspected I was pregnant. She also told me she thinks I am carrying a girl. (but she did add that she's only 50/50 on that, too funny). Strange, eh? She knew days before I did!

Oops, that should be "to let HER know my news"... I also should think before I type ;)

Could the ex or the ex's family found their way over to your blog? I purposefully took you off my blog roll before I gave your mum my blog link. Its funny, you always think these things are private until you get some weird person knowing personal details about you.

Odd... very odd.

What did your massage therapist say about treatments? I was told that most therapists won't do massage on pregnant ladies in the first trimester, due to a higher risk of miscarriage. However, they also know which trigger points *not* to hit. So, I was just curious what yours said...

I had also read that Niki in my web research, so I thought it would be best to ask the professional, which is why I called my massage therapist. She has been doing this for years, so I'm sure I'm not the first client of hers to get pregnant.

She said massage during pregnancy is absolutely safe. She said she has a special pillow to lay on once I am not comfortable laying on my belly anymore.

That's awesome! I had massages later on in my pregnancy - one place had a pregnancy pillow for massages... best invention since sliced bread!

I had a massage therapist refuse to treat me in my first trimester, which is how I found out about that. For her, it was a liability issue.
