Just incase you were wondering...

I did get ahold of that headhunter and I guess my name came up in their research (who knows how) and they are looking for senior people in the environmental consulting field. I told him I wasn't really interested in re-locating at this time (the jobs were in the Owen Sound/Collingwood area), but I guess it's something to keep in mind. And it's a nice ego boost to know that somebody out there recommended me and that I am a desired employee. I guess in the field of engineering, we can all expect calls from headhunters every once in awhile. So there you have it.

I'm in a good place right now. Job I like, I am one of the senior employees (4th in line in terms of seniority and responsibility), I am also a shareholder (and my shares have quadrulpled in value so far), there are really good benefits, awesome semi-annual bonuses, and a totally kick-ass pention plan, and they keep giving me raises like there's no tomorrow! So I am not about to leave. Especially being 2 months away from applying for my P.Eng.

I got head hunted today too. By Burger ;)

Oh, and apparently the Barrie office wants me now too. Too bad I don't want to do landfill work. And its 2 hours from my house!

See, it feels good to be so desired, doesn't it?

Like we have our pick of jobs, which is a huge change from our first co-op term, where we were just happy to get a job, any job.

Now we have options ;)

Two months away... wow! You are one amazing woman, C-Dub. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever get my P.Eng. If I do, I won't sign anything (there's a guy like that in my office). I'm just not cut out for that kind of stress. But, who knows, perhaps things will change.

I don't know Niki, when I get my stamp (next Christmas), I plan on stamping all my timesheets. And all my post-its. ;)

I'm with Nej ;) I plan on stamping all of your birthday and christmas cards ;) I could get it at christmas next year too. I just have to chase down my boss from CRA to get confirmation of the work I did. For a difference of 4 months, not sure it is worth the hassle.

Ya, that was my thinking too. I could have applied for it last May, but that would mean I would have had to submit my work from my 4th and 5th workterms, which is too long ago now to submit I think. I will submit my work for my 6th work term though because I still work with the same people. So that one's easy.

Haha, we're all just going to be stamping machines! Too funny!
