My good mood just got better because my vacation request got approved for the holidays! Our office is going to be closed on December 24, 25, 26, 31, and Jan 1. So, I would have had to work on Dec 27 and 28. And I already used my 15 vacation days for the year in September. But I have some banked OT, so I am going to use that to get those days off. So, my last day of work will be Friday, Dec 21st (and the last day before Christmas is only a half day really because we have a potluck and gift exchange at lunch and then we get the afternoon off). And I don’t go back to work until Wednesday, January 2nd! That is so sweet; 11 days off! CT may have to work Dec 26-28, but I could use some time at home to get some stuff done around the house and then I can also get my name change done on most things. That is provided that Ministries are open during that week, I guess I’ll have to wait and see. They should be open on Dec 27 and 28.
Yay! I am so looking forward to my holidays. I know the beginning of it will be busy with Christmas, but then I should be able to enjoy 4 or 5 days off with not much to do.

Ministries are open on the 27th and 28th. There may not be many people around, but they are open. :)
My Dad always worked during the Christmas break, unless he took vacation days. They will only work half days on Christmas Eve and New Years' Eve as well. Just in case you were wondering... :)
I'm taking that time off too! I'm going to work Christmas Eve (likely only a half day of real work though), but take New Years' Eve off. So I'll have 8 days off in a row to enjoy my holidays! No stressing this year about Goose Bay reports! Woo hoo! :D
we are forced to use vacation and or banked over time on the 24th, 27, 28, and 31. Luckily I have enough overtime, because I don't have four days of vacation!!! It will be nice to have a week and a half off though. I haven't had time like that off since I went to Africa in 2005!
