A couple of you asked what happened with my rings. Well, even though I was in a lot of pain, I was still able to think clearly enough to take off my rings about 10 minutes after it happened. I thought if I seriously hurt my finger, I should take them off before my finger swells up because I didn’t want to have them cut off! Good thing I did because they put the freezing in right at the bottom of my finger where my rings were and of course, there was some swelling. So, I pat myself on the back for that one! Since it is my top knuckle, I’m not anticipating that I will have so much permanent swelling that my rings won’t fit. I just have to wait the up to 6 weeks until I get the splint off.
I am still in quite a bit of pain, but am on prescribed pain meds for the pain. I’m hoping it will calm down in a couple days. And hopefully I can get in to see the plastic surgeon later this week just to make sure the tendon is healing properly and he’ll likely put me in a better splint too.
I never knew how much I depended on the use of all my fingers! I am finding so many things difficult! I’m glad next week is my course because that will give my left hand a bit of a break since most of that is writing, work with the mouse, and some number inputs; so not a lot of typing.
In other news, the bathroom is almost done! I think I should be able to shower in there in a couple days! I can’t wait! We picked up our vanity on Saturday; it is gorgeous! I will post pics on here when it’s all done!

That's good thinking about the rings. I've never broken a finger, but have jammed them numerous times and they always swell up!
Hopefully, your finger will stop hurting soon.
Glad to hear the bathroom is coming along. I look forward to seeing it! :)
I am totally pumped about the bathroom. Flooring is going to be installed tomorrow - yay!
Then I'll have to have you all over and we can have a party in the bathroom or something ;)
I'm so glad to hear you didn't have to get your rings cut. I know my mom was heartbroken about that... it was more upsetting then the actual injury!
