Well, it’s Monday again. I am actually okay with that since I’m really excited about my hubby’s birthday tomorrow! He’s turning 30! I think I’m more excited that he is ;) I think he has some mixed feelings about turning 30, so I’ll do my best to make sure he has a great day.
My weekend was good. On Saturday, we had the birthday dinner for my mom. My brother ended up switching shifts at work so he could be there, so that was great. We even played a game after dinner, which was nice. I think mom was very pleased!
I also ventured into one of my favourite stores: Michaels. I wanted to get a cross-stitch kit. I used to do cross-stitch all the time when I was younger, and I really wanted to get back to it. I wanted something I could work on in the evenings while watching tv. My plan is that if I have my hands busy doing something, that will cut down on the snacking! When I went to pick one out, I wanted one that I would actually want to hang up when it’s done. So, the one I got has a white tiger, black panther, and leopard in it, so it totally matches the theme in our bedroom. So that’s where I’ll hang it when it’s done. Of course, I used my 40% off coupon (I never pay full price for anything in that store), as well as my gift card (thanks nej), so I got it for really cheap! I’m excited! I spent a few hours on it on the weekend. I think this one is going to take a long time since it’s huge, but that’s okay! I really enjoy it, so I want it to take me awhile to complete. I’m thinking it will take me a few months.
So, another day, another 10 cents. I wish the weekend was longer. But, I am taking next Friday off (the 18th), so I’ll have a 3-day weekend then… yay!

Heh, that's why I learned to knit! Speaking of which, I should probably get back to it at some point... LOL!
I also hope to take another painting class at Michael's sometime again. It was so much fun! I miss painting.
Tell Carlos that 30 is just a number. He doesn't look more than a day older than me (but definitely NOT younger than me! :P).
Well it's a great idea! I needed something as a distraction to keep from after supper snacking, since that seems to be my downfall.
And I really enjoy cross-stitch, so I am excited to get back to it!
