150 and counting...

As of today, it is exactly 150 days until my wedding! Hard to believe that I am about halfway between when I got engaged and when I will be getting married. I think I’m in pretty good shape as far as the planning goes, still have lots to do, but there is also lots that has already been accomplished. One thing I need to get on is finding shoes. Ideally I would like to have them a few months ahead so I can break them in a bit and I will need them for my first dress fitting, which will be in late June/early July. I haven’t seen any that I like yet. I’m sure I’ll find some, just have to keep looking.

So tomorrow is Smokey’s follow-up appointment with the vet. I am looking forward to it because I really hope that the outcome is good and that the urinalysis will show that he has no more crystals. I will let you know how it goes.

I saw something on Global news last night about the "MediCal" brand of cat food (looked like the soft stuff that Smokey wouldn't eat), and how the recall was expanded. I'd double check that the food you bought isn't on the list now.

I checked and you're right, the canned food (that Smokey was supposed to eat but didn't like so we returned it) is on the pet food recall list, as of yesterday.

Yikes!

So far, the food that he is currently on as well as the food he ate prior to his blockage are not on the list, but they are adding more everyday! Scary! How do I know if the food I am feeding him is safe? What if we find out his blockage was caused by contaminated food?!?!

Hopefully they get to the bottom of this pet food recall soon. So far my kitty's food isn't on the list and should stay off it, as there is no wheat gleuten in it. It's really scary... poor little pets!

Scary stuff! You'd think that they would know what was safe and what wasn't by now. Geesh.

It's very good that Smokey didn't like it. Poor little kitty! Glad he's doing better now. :)

When I heard that yesterday morning I jumped out of bed to make sure it wasn't Jenny's food (she eat's medi-cal, but it is a different kind) I had a minor freakout, but luckily that is the only medi-cal that contains wheat gluten.
