Even though I got home last night at 8:30pm and it would have been easy to skip my exercising, I did it anyways. I still went on the treadmill for 70 minutes. By the time I was done and showered, it was time for bed. Luckily tonight I don’t really have any plans, so I am hoping to do my treadmill thing once I get home from work and then I’ll be all done and showered by around 7:30 (that’s assuming that I don’t have to work late). It’s hard to find time to exercise sometimes! Especially when you are either getting ready for work, driving to work, at work, or driving home from work from approximately 6am to 6pm every weekday. So, that leaves you with 12 hours. Subtract 8 for sleeping, and you’re down to 4 hours per day. Subtract one hour for making and eating dinner, and you’re down to 3. So, of every weekday, I have 3 hours of which to do “my” stuff. One and a half of those are used for exercising and showering afterwards, so I really only have 1.5 hours per day for me. 90 minutes every day when I can do what I want. Doesn’t seem fair. At least I have weekends. But most of those are used up with wedding-related tasks. The next 3 weekends are going to be filled with wedding stuff. Not that I’m complaining, I love the wedding-planning stuff, I am just getting a little worn out. I’m glad I have the entire day on Sunday to go nothing and relax.
Last night, I was at my parents house. My mom is there all by herself during the week since my dad and brothers work out of town, so I went there and we made supper together and then spent an hour scrapbooking. I did my Gradball pages. I wanted to add the date. Does anyone remember the date of Gradball? March __, 2004? If not, I will try to find my 2004 day planner and I can look it up. Just wondering if someone remembered off-hand.
On Saturday, CT and I are going to Home Outfitters in the morning and The Bay in the afternoon to get our wedding registries started. I am excited about that!
On Sunday, it is CT and my one-year anniversary. So, since we have been so crazy-busy for the last few months, we are taking the entire day to do nothing and relax. No commitments, no obligations, we’re just going to laze around and do whatever we want.
Hard to believe we have been together for a year now. The time has gone by so quickly! What a difference a year makes. In the past year, I met and fell in love with CT, moved into my own house, did a TON of renovations, got a major promotion and raise at work, and got engaged. Crazy! That’s a lot to pack into one year!

Gradball was March 20... :)
Good for you for exercising! I ended up going out with Margo instead. Still, socializing is important too! ;)
Oh, and don't forget that in 2.5 weeks we'll take a break from the wedding planning for my b-day! :D
Damn you Nej, stealing my thunder. Yes, she is correct, march 20th. A day that will forever be ingrained in my memory. Too. Much. Work.
I know what you mean about having trouble fitting excersize into your day. take today for instance. I left home at 6 am (got up at 5:30) to do a spinning class. Got to school at 8 am. will be here till 6, and then quickly grab dinner at subway and do yoga from 6:30-7:30. I'll get home at 8, but by then I'll have been gone for 14 hours. Time to watch Greys anatomy and CSI, then off to bed. I wake up at 5:30 in order to fit excersize into my day. Not too bad, but it means that some nights I pass out well before 10 pm. I'm at school until 6ish most nights. If I leave before I'll just be stuck in bad traffic on the freeway.
I find that having fast easy and healthy meals available is a huge help. Like I'll make up a big pot of spaghetti sauce and freeze the leftovers. Take it out in the morning and dinner will be ready in 20 minutes that night.
I can relate to the no time business. Since starting work, I've had less time to myself. But that's ok (for now) because I love my job. My day usually starts about the same time as LJ. Before work I can be found at physio or the gym. And the days I have physio, I go to the gym after work. It's tiring so I'm usually in bed by 9.30 so I can be functional the next day.
Chris and I have started prepping our weekly meals Sunday afternoon and then freezing them. It helps. Alot. He's such a great help too. Easy stuff like chilli is done usually the night before so that it can cook while we are at work. Crockpot - BEST APPLIANCE EVER!
I knew I could count on your girls to remember the date of Gradball - thanks!
I guess we all are in agreement that life gets in the way of exercising sometimes. In the last 2 months, I have really been making an effort to fit my exercising in, and I'm quite happy with myself in that regard. Even if it means I don't have much time to myself, except on weekends.
I do have a crockpot, but I rarely use it. I'll have to look up some good crockpot recipes and try to use that sometimes during the week. That would also be handy because at least half the time, CT and I eat dinner at different times (he sometimes has to work until 8ish).
Hehe I should add "Thunder Stealer" to my growing list of nicknames! ;)
Yeah, I find lately that it's either I socialize or I exercise... I'd like to find a happy medium that doesn't involve me going out smelling like a gym sock (i.e. no shower afterwards)... tee hee!
Seriously though, I probably should just get up earlier to exercise, but I hate going to bed so early! :(
