I had date #4 with CT last night. It went pretty well. We went to see a movie and then hung out at Timmie's and talked for a few hours. I had a really good time and I'm thinking we will likely continue seeing each other. I think he's into me ;) I just haven't quite figured out how I feel about him. I know I have a great time with him, we have a lot in common, he is attractive, etc. I'm just not sure if there's a lot of chemistry there. Sometimes it takes awhile for the chemistry to build though. So, I think I'll continue to see him and see what happens. So, I was happy coming home from our date, feeling like things went well.
Then, I walked in the door with everyone in my family sitting in the living room talking, which rarely happens... especially after midnight. So, I knew something was wrong. My brother Alex was assaulted at Wendy's. Here's what happened. My 2 brothers Alex and Tom decided to go to Wendy's for a snack. So, they were waiting for their food, and these two guys who had just got their food started bad mouthing my brothers (teasing Tom for having long hair, accusing them of being on a date). Apparently these 2 guys were also very rude to the staff as well. Anyways, Alex told him to put a lid on it, and the bad dude started throwing his food at them and threw his pop in Alex's face. Then he punched Alex in the nose and stormed out of the store. And smashed Alex's car window on his way out. The guys were on foot, so they didn't have a license plate number to track. Alex was pretty upset, and had a bleeding nose, so he called my mom, who called the police and headed over. They filled out a police report and were able to give good descriptions of the guys who assaulted them, complete with tattoo descriptions, so I hope they catch them! I feel so badly for Alex! He's such a sweet guy and doesn't deserve this! What is the world coming to?!?!
Well, I'm off to work (yes, on a Sunday). Lots of work to be done.

This week proves to be busy as well.
I just got home from my week house-sitting. It was a nice change. I enjoyed the peace and quiet.
This week is shaping up to be just as busy as last week. My pole dancing class started last night. It was SOOOO much fun! I am looking forward to the rest of the classes! It is a really good workout and very empowering. I think I've found my calling ;)
I have date #4 with CT scheduled for Saturday. Yay! Things are going well on that front. I'll have to let you all know how date #4 goes!
I think I'm going to have to work on Sunday. That will be the 3rd weekend in a row. It's the busiest time of year right now. I will be so glad when April rolls around! I don't mind the overtime though, I do get paid for it. And that's a good thing because I just had to take Zeke in for a tune-up and it cost almost $500 (he needed his front brakes replaced and a big service). Money seems to be slipping out of my fingers quite quickly these days. So, a little overtime is quite welcome to earn some extra cash.
Have a great week everyone! Especially you nej with your date tomorrow night! I will be thinking about you! And you better update your blog as soon as you get home because we are all going to be waiting with breath that is bated! ;)

The start of another week.
And a busy week it will be! Things are really busy at work, and I have full week in terms of other things too. Gym tomorrow and Wednesday, date #3 with CT (new guy) on Thursday, and then heading to nej's birthay celebration on Friday and Saturday. And then working on Sunday. All that and I am house and cat-sitting from this Wednesday until next Tuesday. At least I get to stay in this really nice condo and have some piece and quiet! Should be fun!

Marathon post!
So, stay with me here. It's a long one, lots to talk about!
I had a good weekend. I went all over town furniture shopping. I must have sat on a hundred couches! I wanted to get some ideas for my new house. I found some really good deals at this one store here in town. They were selling off last years models of a bunch of stuff. I found the perfect furniture for my house! Exactly what I have been looking for over the last few months! I was so pleased! Really good prices too compared to other stuff I had seen. And top of the line quality with a 10 year warranty.
Since I'm so excited, I just HAVE to describe my new furniture. Couch and loveseat that are aqua blue/green in colour with chocolate brown wood at the bottom, coffee table and end table with the wood matching the couches and they have a mirror inlay as the surface. For my bedroom, I got a whole set: poster bed, matching dresser with mirror, tall dresser, and 2 nightside tables. And I got a really good deal on a simmons beautyrest matresses set (clearance of last years model - over $1,000 off!) Every single piece I got was on sale! And it is exactly what I was looking for. I am so pleased! And what makes it even better, is they have a deal on where you can set up monthly payments for 3 years, no interest. Can't beat that! It's hard to describe what the stuff looks like, so you'll just have to visit me and see if for yourself!
On the man front, I have a second date on Friday (with the guy I went out with last saturday). Yay! And then I'm heading to Waterloo on Saturday to see Kel! WOOHOO!
On the weight loss front, I have been going to the gym consistently 4 to 6 times per week in the last month. I have really noticed a difference in my muscles - I'm getting buff! I haven't lost any weight yet, but I know that will come soon. My mom and I started this weight loss plan together. We weigh ourselves together once a week and whoever has lost the least amount of weight that week puts $10 in a pot and then we save the money for a spa day for the 2 of us. Pretty neat idea, eh? my mom came up with it, she has such good ideas :)
Okay, that's it for now! Peace out

Another first date!
I just got back from a first date with a new guy. It was with the guy I was posting about earlier (the one who had recently met someone else for s first date, so wasn't sure if he wanted to meet me while he was still seeing her). Anyways, I guess he got it sorted out because he wanted to meet me. So, we went to a local sports bar to watch the leafs game. He even bought me a gift; a stuffed moose that is wearing a toronto maple leafs hat. I thought that was SOOOO sweet. What a nice gesture.
All in all, I had a really good time on the date. We had a lot to talk about and he seems like a genuinely nice and caring guy. I would definately like to see him again, I'll have to wait and see what he thinks.

Yay! Trip to visit Niki planned!
Lj and I are going to visit Niki for her wedding reception! And I couldn't be more excited. I haven't seen Niki in almost 2 years, way too long in my opinion! We're only going for 4 days, so we'll have to make the most of every minute! I'm super excited! My first trip out west.
Something that is not so happy is that we received notice that our technician in our group is resigning. To go and work for my former boss who quit in November. Sheesh! Another one bites the dust! A year ago, we had 8 people in my group, now we'll be down to 4. Need to hire a new technician pronto! The other project manager and I are going to go for lunch tomorrow to have a little pow-wow about this and try to figure out what the heck we're going to do without our tech. And I'm going to treaten him within an inch of his life saying he better not quit too! And I'm sure he'll do the same for me. We are the 2 managers, so without us, the group would fall apart, or so I would like to think ;) Everyone is important, we need our CAD operator too. This just is getting scary. Since I started 2 years ago, almost 15 people have left. When you have a department of 25, that is a lot! We have some new people too though. I guess the turnover rate in consulting is high. I'm one of the veterans now, I guess ;)
